About me
Hi guys! Thanks for visiting my website. My name is Ola and I was introduced to photography by my older brother about 8 years ago. My brother was into portrait and fashion photography at the time and so naturally that became my foundation. It wasn’t long however before I became drawn to street photography and eventually transitioned into cityscape or what some consider Landscape. My initial days in Landscape photography were nevertheless short lived as they soon became exhausting because my camera wanted to capture everything in sight. As I matured my eyes desired a little less clutter and chaos. After a couple of years of doing the same thing, I started craving a new style. And so, I decided to settle for simpler compositions. Simpler compositions for me meant less subjects, fewer colors and less clutter. This transition marked the beginning phase of my simplistic approach to shooting. This approach for me was easy on the eyes and in many ways mirrored my personality. As an introverted person I tend to want to give my full attention to things that only matter in life and so it made sense that I do the same in my pictures. With this approach I try to let my audience get the gist of my pictures by driving their attention towards the most important details in them. If there is little to no story to be derived, then the ambience or the vibe in the picture must be very telling. Many of my pictures are a testament to this as many of them send off a very peaceful and tranquil vibe just from looking at them. The city of New York has been hugely inspirational in allowing me to exercise my creativity. One of many places that I have drawn a lot of inspiration from is Central Park. Some of my most cherished pictures are ones I took here. It is not farfetched to see why it is inspirational considering its natural and serene design. Like central park so many other unsung beautiful gems around the city keep my motivation fueled and my skills regularly sharpened. With your support and encouragement, I look forward to discovering more of myself as a photographer and sharing many beautiful works with you in the days ahead.
